Two-Day Asymmetric Basket Workshop @ Elliott's - Sat 22nd & Sun 23rd Mar

Suitable for beginners & improvers. In this two-day basket making workshop, you will learn how to create an asymmetric basket with a wooden handle - perfect for storing kindling or taking out foraging.

You will learn traditional and contemporary basket making techniques, using willow grown in the Somerset Levels. I will guide you step-by-step through the deeply satisfying and meditative process of weaving your very own creation to take home and use for many years to come.

During this workshop, you may sit or stand to work at table-top height. This activity might not be suitable if you have limited mobility in your hands / wrists. Please get in touch if you have any concerns prior to booking.

All tools and materials provided.* Please wear warm, comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting scruffy.

Tea, coffee and sweet treats will be provided to fuel your creativity. Please bring a packed lunch, or treat yourself to a takeaway from Pomelo nextdoor!

*I use driftwood and windfallen branches as handles for these baskets, so each one is unique. If you happen to have a nice piece of wood that you'd like to use in your basket, please bring it along.
